View Full Version : American Ironhorse Tech Manual?

I have a 2006 American Ironhorse LSC. I have been told that using a factory Harley repair manual can be a huge help, since Ironhorse has no available repair manuals. Can anyone recommend which model/year of Harley repair manual would be the best for my bike? Thanks in advance for your help!

I cant say about the LSC. But My 03 Outlaw Is close to a softtail. When I needed a primary gasket I called an Iron horse dealer and he told me its the same as a 96 and up softtail....could you call a dealer.... swifty

Thanks Swifty. I read where a forum writer found an actual Ironhorse repair manual on eBay, on CD but the reply wasn't positive. That is why I was going to get the HD manual for reference. To my knowledge, HD doesn't have a hardtail in the late models. Thanks again. Any other suggestions or advice is more than welcome....

Thanks for the reply chopperguy. Were you able to copy them and what do you think of the manuals so far? I am sure they are better than what I have now, which is nothing. Thanks again!

I'm fairly certain the manuals would be copyrighted. You guys should do this by PM rather than on an open board.

Just sayin'

I have a 2007 AIH Texas Chopper. How dependable are the Gill Instruments ignighter and the Thunder Heart harness control module? Will these units last or will they fail at some point?

You can buy Service manual and parts (fat book) on ebay. Not for bid but BUY IT NOW Only for 145.00. Mine came yesterday and it's a factory dealer/service manual better than any HD manual specifically for AIH. Advance search for AIH will get you there faster.

that`s what sucks...i just bought my scoot brand new....you would think they would break down and give you a manual but nooooo....i even got a manual for my kids remote control car that i bought him for his birthday .........what are they thinking?

I know it does but to have a factory manual for AIH is best. I think it was worth it. I like doing a lot of my own work. Try and buy an HD manual for a bike a few yrs old and you pay triple what it was originall. They have you by the shorts !!!!

Yeah this guy is out of MASS I've spoken to him via phone. I think he's one of those that got in on the bankruptcy autions and is raping us on these items and parts look at the shipping cost??? His history shows he sold the same manual for $75.00 There is still noting I've been able to find something for an )03 Legend any body know if the're availible???

Hello all. Was wondering if anyone had any idea where to find a service type manual on a 2001 Tejas? I'm a shade tree mechanic of sorts and have no worry with figuring out the motor and tranny, but things like the torque specs on the primary cover, rear axle bolts, wiring diagram, etc. kinda got me scratchin' my head. Thanks for any feedback.

I too would be interested in a copy, if You wouldn'd mind. I worked for an Ironhorse dealer for a few years. And there is not much in a HD service manual that would be helpful, none of the electrical, and very little of the chassis. Carburation and engine go with S and S manuals.

A 2005, if I recall the manual covered all models.

Jake, I just bought a holdover 2007 AIH classic chop. I haven't been able to find any decent info on this model. I bought an owner's manual on e-bay for 07 models, and my bike is not covered, ( or the bandera or judge). Does any of your service manuals cover my bike, or the other two I listed? Any info you have would be great...Thanks alot...Joe

Ok, so here is the new problem. I got the service manual and parts list from Jake which was awesome. But now i get the frame and MSO and it is a 2007 AIH Slammer frame.... I geuss they didnt relize it till after they shipped it but paid a really cheap price..

So I have to ask Jake do you have the 2007 service manual and parts list? I know the parts on a 2006 and 2007 are differant.. I already bought some 06 parts that I must now return because they dont fit on the 07....

thank you again for the quick reply and manuals...
