I've got the slotted S&S teardrop intake, and was wondering if anyone has had good results with a higher perf intake... What are peoples opinions on this ?

I could not tell any power increase. Plus, you can dump $500 in the cleaner, new choke lever and new crankcase breather (this is needed because you cannot plug the hose into the new intake). The good - gives it a little custom look and doesn't look like all other AIHs. The bad - does not start as good as it use to when cold.
This was for a 2006 AIH Legend S&S 111.

I am going to put the Ness 90 degree big sucker on my 111 this weekend.

I think I paid $250 landed via axiom cycles.

I got the Ness air cleaner on there and it is in my way. It hits my shin with my feet on the pegs.

Looks nice, though. Air cleaner should be large enough for big engines.

Now the bad side:
I had to tap the vent line as it was not done well enough for the fitting to thread in. (might be a chrome issue, but they can chase a thread just like I can)

The three bolts to mount the backing plate to the carb were to long and had the be shortened.

The bolt to fit the chrome end cap onto the end of the filter was to short so I had to get a longer one.

I will ride it for a few days and see how much the rubbing my leg is an issue.
