Just tried something on my Virago: putting a few litles red lights on the frame of the bike around the motor for nigth cruising... the effect is gorgeous with the chrome reflections, think I`m going to add a few more and a switch to shut them off during the day or change them for small neons, I`ll put some pics as soon as it`s completed... Cheap but nice way to customise a bike lollll and the wiring is so easy: wire tru the tail ligth ground on the frame, add a switch where it`s easy to reach. They also sell kits with a nice dimmer control but I don`t have the place to mount it on my handle bar. I`ll think of something...

I saw a bike with green LEDs under the tank last year at a rally. LEDs take so little current that the rider could leave them on while the bike was parked. Looked real cool / eerie at dusk to see the bike parked next to the curb just glowing away.

Yup ! sure would be easier on the electrical system and since I only want to use them while running... I`ll keep thinking about it.

buddy of mine has over 300 led lights on his road glide.......engine compartment, front fender, rear fender, and between both saddle bags........looks totally killer if your into that type of thing. to me it looks like i need a put a quarter somewhere to get the jukebox going. I do like leds but i'm pretty much along the lines of less is more. glinting off the chrome is a nice thing to me. having the whole bike lit up and the ground underneath is too much in my opinion.

I agree completly with you I will not over do it ,I just want the motor lit up (more like glowing) and anyway I want to do it for a reasonnable price, I`ve got a lot of little project for that bike.

Hmmmmm. If I had some engine chrome it might be cool but the Sportster 1200R's are lacking in the chrome department.
