Over 1,800 reads of this thread and in only a couple of days.
You guys must really appreciate the beauty of Native American women.

White man speak with f*cked tongue. Or was it forked tongue?
Man don't do those backwards :rofl
My Great-Great Grandfather was Ojibwee (aka Chippewa) so as a person with Native American heritage, I'm just enjoying the moment.
Hell I'm like 12% N.A. and that doesn't even qualify me for minority status. :doh
Some of these guys probably got excited during those old Wendy's commercials;
"Svimwear"
NOW those were some babes
Sorry for being so sexiest to our lady members.
Speaking of our lady members...
How's it going RG?
Jeffytune 11th September 2009, 06:52 Ok, I did a google search, and I was looking for a picture that was cute without being sleazy.
Is She a real full blooded Native American (I hate that term, if you were born here you are a native American) I don't have a clue.
Jeffytune 11th September 2009, 07:39 Ok, Is this one better?

FLazyBoy 12th September 2009, 17:15 Gotta love labels. If you're born in Mumbai, India and become a US citizen, you're an Indian-American. If you're born in the US, you're a native American, just not a Native American. I worked with a guy who was born in Cape Town South Africa, became a US citizen and jokingly calls himself an African-American, even though he's white. I also get a kick out of reporters who call all people with black skin African Americans even when they're talking about Haitians or Europeans who happen to be black. :doh

Y2K 28th October 2009, 14:54 Nice , my father was 17 then and road one in his younger days....That and the rails.
My Dad left home at 13 years old and rode the rails,1924.
By '27 he was working the logging camps of the PAC NW where he was discovered by a scout for a boxing promoter, lots of fights in the camps.
Lots better money prize fighting than logging!
By '29 he had a New Harley JDH 74", fastest bike made in it's day,the famous Harley "two cam" and also had a new Cadillac.
About the same time he bought his little brother an Indian Scout.
747 FlightEngineer 28th October 2009, 15:52 Hey guys let's get back to reality shall we. I want the Indian sitting on the Indian. Geez there is such a thing as priority don't ya know. ;D

Boy howdy,My Uncle Claude died of Pneumonia at age 21 so I have no idea about the Scout.
Dad gave up bikes for airplanes after the depression,I'd imagine he sold the Harley about that time as he wasn't one for hanging onto stuff unfortunately.
He still liked big cars though, this was one of his Cadillacs with his first wife (not my Mom) posing.
My older Bros Mom on the Cad about a year before he was born.

Interesting, you can see the V8 logo on the grill, and 1940 on the tag!

Alanomad 28th October 2009, 21:01 She was a pretty lady. No doubt that your Dad sure liked big cars! (For that matter so do I, my old gone but not forgotten Town Car that was stolen a few months back was one of my all time favorites.) I dig the suicide doors on the Caddy.
mjdart 29th October 2009, 11:38 Nice photo, (of the Caddy), I also like Cadillacs. My first I bought from the famous Chef Julia Child in '75 I was only 21 yrs old. I thought it was a great deal for $3500 for a 2 yr old Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Brougham, still drive a Caddy today when not riding.

Nice land yacht :D I've owned a '69 Coupe DeVille and an '84 Eldorado.

Yeah that sucked getting the Lincoln ripped, she was a sweet ride for sure.
Thought I'd post the last of the three pics my brother sent me.
The Cad I posted was a '32 ,wish I had that lol.
The other car I new from remembering Dad telling me that he had one after they got married was a Whippet made by Willys Overland,I looked around a bit and figure it's roughly about a '27-'29,they didn't change much for a few years.
This last pic is the Model T roadster pickup he borrowed to go on his honeymoon ,in '36 at the worst of the depression all he had was his Harley (sadly no pics) so he borrowed his friend Frank's pickup.
He got the Whippet shortly thereafter.
Dad is the injun breed on the right lol,he was 25 years old :D

True that,if I can find it I have a pic of my Mom with Dad's new '53 Buick Roadmaster convertible to post.

Oh yeah,most definitely,the last big car he had was an Olds 98 4 door,1970 with a 455 V8.
Sold it in '73 when gas got "expensive" (lol 50cts gal.) and bought Mom a small car,he was semi retired and just drove his truck ( '72 GMC 3/4 ton 4X4 ) if he went anywhere from then on.
The same Jimmy I have stashed in a barn today awaiting resto .;)
mjdart 30th October 2009, 17:22 Oh yeah,most definitely,the last big car he had was an Olds 98 4 door,1970 with a 455 V8.
My mom & dad had a new 1970 Olds 98 gold colored, Premium Gas and it was fast, I learned to drive in that car.

Now that will be a project worth doing!

Dad's was refrigerator white and yeah it was fast for a huge car,I got to drive it a few times when I was a high school-er.
I remember if you nailed it the front end would rise up so high you could barely see over the massive hood lol.
What a massive car, about an acre of hood heh heh.

Yeah it was a great truck with a 350/4spd/205 t-case and 4:10 gears,I got it from Dad when he was getting to old to drive.
I put about 60,000 miles on it before the throwout bearing went bad and I parked it.
I got another truck and put it away knowing someday I'd restore it or have it done, she's got 198,000 miles and never been apart or rebuilt.
Dad bought it basically new, some local rancher bought it about a month before the new body style 1973s came out in late '72 and traded it right back in to get the new body style .
Dad snapped it up then sold his '68 Chevy.
He got it for a great deal and it wasn't even broken in yet,not a scratch on it and super low low miles.
He drove that truck from 1972-1988 and I've owned it ever since.
http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d173/y2keglide/woodhaul003.jpg
Alanomad 30th October 2009, 20:45 That's a beautiful body style, and has what I love, that today's Jimmys/Chevys don't have, and that's radiused wheel well openings instead of squared off.
Y2K 30th October 2009, 20:53 That's a beautiful body style, and has what I love, that today's Jimmys/Chevys don't have, and that's radiused wheel well openings instead of squared off.
I've always liked the '67-'72 body style and felt the '72s were the last really well built truck GM made.
I like my '78 and it's a stout hauler but it was never as well built as the old '72.
dave mickley 30th October 2009, 21:20 I remember back when a jimmy was a heavy duty version of the chevy. now its just a different name plate. nice truck.
Y2K 30th October 2009, 21:25 I remember back when a jimmy was a heavy duty version of the chevy. now its just a different name plate. nice truck.
Going way back to the '50's they were quite different.
I remember Dad had a '57 GMC panel truck that came factory with a Pontiac V-8 and 4 speed hydramatic trans.;)
Found this on the Pontiac/GMC,quite a thread! http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/1957-gmc-truck-24670.html
