View Full Version : A short word about consideration and forum conduct
bplinson 19th June 2005, 19:23 I am going to take this opportunity to tell EVERYONE on the forum to be considerate of other people on the forum.
The purpose of this forum is to bring V-Twin motorcycle enthusiast of all makes and models and all locations on Earth together so they can discuss and help each other with their bike(s).
Everyone here has or has had different makes and models. There are good and bad things about all of makes and models. There is NO perfect bike and what you consider good for you may not be good for someone else. Please keep this in mind when posting.
Downing someone else bike just because you do not like their make, model or style is not welcome here.
Belittleling someone is not welcome here. Personal attacks and flaming is not welcome here. If you like doing this kind of thing please find a different forum.
Guys and gals....please use restraint when someone in the forum makes a comment that is uncalled for. DO NOT respond to name calling or personal attacks. This just causes a flame war. What you should do is report the post by clicking on the Yield sign on the post. The admins and the moderators will take care of the problem.

07classic chop.... 16th October 2009, 15:59 i think i need anger management classes....where is this yield sign?
phedup 16th October 2009, 16:19 It's in the row of icons in the upper right of the post window... and it's an upside down yield sign.... red border, white background, exclamation point in the center...
Darhawk 16th October 2009, 17:26 And it was deemed important to bring forth this message at this time because of ?????????????????????
This has got to be the most laid back forum I've ever been on. Y'all should visit Ranchers.net sometime if you want some belittling, butt kickin', name callin', flame rattlin', fight startin', ball bustin" excitement. Course its sister site, "CattleToday, will ban ya for passing gas sideways.

I'm sure if you offended somebody, they would have let you know. Besides that, this thread was first started in June of 2005.

I read just about everything on here and if it warrants a comment from me I make one. If I do miss an important thread where someone knows I would have commented then I generally recieve a PM telling me to read it. But as I said it's pretty mellow here and if someone gets out of line then Eric puts him back in line. Eric had already served warning in that thread and I figured all those crossing the line would settle down. Didn't think that particular diatribe required Bert's warning but that was for him to decide. I just figured there was a "locked" thread somewhere I'd missed.
hutch52 16th October 2009, 22:04 Dar, On the serious side I was giving you the heads up and trying to lighten the tension. You usually post some funny stuff brother, you make me laugh, Keep it up. Hope things are working out for you situation at the ranch.

dave mickley 17th October 2009, 15:05 Dar - that little girl is wise beyond her years. the dumb, stupid things we guys do for "that". wish I could start over but with the libido I have now.
01Sporty 17th October 2009, 16:23 Have seen that before. It's soooooooo true. Right guys?
Only if a man continues to think the only thing that matters is "that".
Brag Mode On :)
I've learned that when men don't go after "that" (here-in called "it"), the person owning "it" starts to wonder what the two of them are doing wrong. Next thing you know, the owner begins offered "it" up. And if said male turns "it" away, the owner realizes "it" isn't as important to that male as she's used to and either the owner becomes more realistic or suffers rejection. I have only met one "owner" that accepted rejection without going bonkers.
NOW if that owner sees this I'm in deep do-do.
:rofl
