After ~150 miles on the tires in rain, shine, highway, twisties and mountain roads, I’m impressed with the ME880’s. They grab the road very well (even in wet weather) and feel real smooth and are very quiet. The tread feels a bit softer to the touch than the OEM Dunlops and seems to be a bit more uniform. I also like the look of the tires, they seem a bit more aggressive if ya know what I mean.

Here is a bit from the Metzler website:

* Machine-specific carcass construction for exceptional riding comfort and stability at all speeds, even under heavy load

* Tread pattern design with offset central groove's alignment providing uniform tread wear, very high mileage for never-ending riding fun

* Very smooth handling and highest stability for easy riding in all conditions, at full speed on straight as well as on twisty mountain roads

I have been riding on metzlers for almost three years on my Valkyrie, have been happy with them. the pluss is I also got around 3000 miles more before replacments were needed over the dunflops , Got 10000 on the rear tire.
Now that I am on my new Dog plan to stick with Metzler rubber , Hope to get 8000 out of the venom but not counting on it.
